Fundraising for Ausome Ottawa
On May 26, 2019, on behalf of Silver Immigration, I ran the Scotiabank Half-Marathon in support of an amazing organization, Ausome Ottawa. Ausome is a registered charity that enriches the lives of kids with autism through sports and recreation. Often, community programs are not designed to meet the needs of kids with autism and Ausome provides tons of programs (most at no cost to families) specifically designed for children with autism. These programs help children increase physical literacy, stay active, and have fun!
I am very proud to report that Silver Immigration far exceed its fundraising goal and, in the end, raised over $1,600 for Ausome. The funds will go directly to funding Ausome’s programs and supporting its staff’s efforts to create the most beneficial and enjoyable experience for the children.
Silver Immigration is committed to giving back to the community and looks forward to supporting more local charities in the future. Thank you to all who donated and a special thank you to Anya Pelot and Liisa Vexler of Ausome for their help in fundraising and the great work they do every day.
