The border wall will include steel bollard walls of 18-30 feet in height, all weather roads, lighting, security cameras and other related technology. It is expected that construction will begin after the new year.<\/p>\n<p>The funding for these projects did not come from a National Emergency Declaration.<\/p>\n<p>The Rio Grand Valley is the busiest Sector in the nation \u2013 40% of illegal apprehensions occur at RGV and RGV seizes more cocaine and marijuana than any other Sector.<\/p>\n<p>These new contracts come after the news that the pentagon diverted $3.6 billion in funding for military projects to pay for border wall construction.
