Increase in Premium Processing Fees
As of February 26, 2024, USCIS will be increasing their premium processing fees. The increase in fees will help USCIS offset the cost of inflation over the last two calendar years.
According to USCIS, “DHS will use the revenue generated by the premium processing fee increase to provide premium processing services; make improvements to adjudications processes; respond to adjudication demands, including reducing benefit request processing backlogs; and otherwise fund USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.”
Without premium processing, the review process can take several months. With premium processing, the review process is generally around 15 business days.
